Meet Rachelle

Owner, Stride High Stables

Rachelle Reichert has been the owner and operator of Stride High Stables since 2012 and has been involved with horses since she was 10 years old.

With her strong love for animals and determination to own her own business she bought a dog grooming salon in Edmonton a few days after she graduated from business school. She owned and operated Little Arf’n Annie’s Dog Grooming in Edmonton for over 10 years and decided to bring the business home to her acreage. Bringing the business home allowed her the opportunity to be with her daughter more and to combine her love for dogs with her love for horses. Rachelle has always been involved in animal rescue of some sort and has uses a holistic approach to the animals healing. It didn’t take long before people were looking for her to help them with their own animals healing and that was when she decided to open her horse business.

Rachelle has competed in different horse disciplines since she was 12 years old as well as having memberships in many different horse related organizations. Most of the horses she has or works with have been rescues or rehabilitated horses that have gotten well enough to compete in the show ring again. She has a love for all forms of spending time with horses but especially loves competing in Saddle Seat riding. She has won Bronze medals with Team Canada in 3 Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup Competitions, which included competitions in South Africa and the US.

She helped to create the non-profit organization Saddle Seat Canada and is the current President. Her involvement in the organization has been to help develop better athletes in the sport and to help create programs such as fitness and sports psychology to enhance performances on international levels.

She is a Certified Equine Canada Instructor and safety is always first priority in all her horse endeavors. Educating herself is an ongoing passion and to pass that knowledge along to make it a better world for the horse and human is a sought after goal!
